Hi Atul,
I have tried installing the Oracle EBS 12i and after initial installation, I was able to browse the home page. I have applied the following patches and restarted the machine
Patch: 5735481, 5689224, 4742501
Now, I'm unable to browse the homepage instead I get the below error 500 Internal Server Error java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError at oracle.apps.fnd.sso.AppsLoginRedirect.AppsSetting(AppsLoginRedirect.java:120) at oracle.apps.fnd.sso.AppsLoginRedirect.init(AppsLoginRedirect.java:161) at com.evermind[Oracle Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.3.0.0) ].server.http.HttpApplication.loadServlet(HttpApplication.java:2231) at com.evermind[Oracle Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.3.0.0) ].server.http.HttpApplication.findServlet(HttpApplication.java:4617) at com.evermind[Oracle Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.3.0.0) ].server.http.HttpApplication.findServlet(HttpApplication.java:4541) at com.evermind[Oracle Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.3.0.0) ].server.http.HttpApplication.getRequestDispatcher(HttpApplication.java:2821) at com.evermind[Oracle Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.3.0.0) ].server.http.HttpRequestHandler.doProcessRequest(HttpRequestHandler.java:740) at com.evermind[Oracle Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.3.0.0) ].server.http.HttpRequestHandler.processRequest(HttpRequestHandler.java:451) at com.evermind[Oracle Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.3.0.0) ].server.http.AJPRequestHandler.run(AJPRequestHandler.java:299) at com.evermind[Oracle Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.3.0.0) ].server.http.AJPRequestHandler.run(AJPRequestHandler.java:187) at oracle.oc4j.network.ServerSocketReadHandler$SafeRunnable.run(ServerSocketReadHandler.java:260) at com.evermind[Oracle Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.3.0.0) ].util.ReleasableResourcePooledExecutor$MyWorker.run(ReleasableResourcePooledExecutor.java:303) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:595)
Can you give some inputs to sort this out.
To add, the below two services I'm unable to start OracleVIS_db102_RDBMSTNSListenerVIS OracleConcMgrVIS_MachineName

Hi Hameed,
I dont think you can install in the external hard disk and work on different machines. application and data can be stored in External HDD,but some of the components will be stored in the registry(I mean where you installed oracle apps in a particular OS). You need to work on the same system where you have installed oracle apps. Hope you understand...

Hi Atul; I have read your profile and been through your articles on Internet. I have a very simple and a baisc question. I am able to prepare a Solaris 10 Machine. I would like to install Oracle Financials 12i. However, is it a pre-requisire that a Oracle 10g R2 should already exist on the Server ? Or else is this some thing that gets installed with the 12i as part of the installation ? If, the Database is going to be a sperate instllation; What are the guide lines for the Database Tier to be installed seperately ? Thanks =======
